在超聲波的作用下，機械振動轉移到清洗罐中的清洗液中，使清洗液交替產生密集的振動，液體不斷拉伸和壓縮。疏的地方受到拉伸，形成微氣泡(真空氣穴)；密的地方受到壓縮。由于清洗液內部受超聲波的振動而頻繁地拉伸和壓縮，其結果使微氣泡不斷地產生和不斷地破裂。當微氣泡破裂時，周圍的清洗液以巨大的速度從各個方向延伸到氣泡的中心，產生水擊。這種現象可以用肉眼直接觀察到，即清洗液中有劇烈活動的氣泡，清洗液上下對流。此時，如果手指浸泡在清洗液中，會有強烈的針刺感。

This phenomenon can be directly observed with the naked eye, that is, there are violent bubbles in the cleaning solution, and the cleaning solution is converging up and down. At this time, if the finger is immersed in the cleaning solution, it will have a strong sense of acupuncture.
